Best Commercial Playgrounds for Churches (2025 Edition)
As a church or other house of worship, you have unique needs for your outdoor commercial playground. Space and budget constraints are often a concern, and your church has such a wide range of ages that it can be challenging to pick an appropriate industrial playground.
King Swings offers a wide range of customizable and ASTM-compliant commercial playgrounds. Let's break up our offerings into a few common categories to help churches pick the right commercial swing set for their location. For each category, I will give a Flex (customizable) and Pro (ASTM compliant) option.
Best Budget-Friendly Church Commercial Playground
What makes a playground the best in terms of overall value? For these recommendations, I am taking price, capacity, serving a wide age range, and the sheer number of fun items on the set.
Flex Series: Questor Commercial Playground
While the Questor Commercial Playground is not our lowest-priced commercial playground, it is the best overall budget-friendly playground.
Yes, while other playgrounds may be lower in cost, the Questor is the stand-out choice. What makes it so is how many children it can keep busy at once, given its footprint, and how many fun options are on the playground.
The Questor is your best value for the number of kids, the age range of kids, and the number of fun add-ons. Plus, if you need more swings or want to customize the playground, you certainly can!
Pro Series: The Navigator Commercial Playground
There are three great options for the best overall value: the Navigator, the Searfarer, and the Trail Blazer. All are at a similar price point, but I recommend the Navigator Commercial Playground.
The Navigator's design is clean and easy for parents or staff to monitor play, while the playground offers a wide variety of fun for all ages. The monkey bars and 5’ tower are fun for older kids, while the super spiral, activity panels, and tree climber are great for little ones. Plus, its design blends so well with games like tag or catch-me-if-you-can.
The Seafarer is geared more toward older kids, while the Trail Blazer is meant for younger ones. The Navigator Commercial Playground Equipment is in the middle and is a great starting point for your church playground.
Best Church Commercial Playgrounds for Older Kids
If your church or church programs skew towards children ages 6-12, what are the best King Swings vinyl playgrounds for your situation? Or, if you are getting two playgrounds and want one to focus more on older kids, which is the best?
Flex Series: Pathfinder Playground
Most people would expect me to say the Ranger Commercial Playground. Don’t get me wrong, it is a fantastic playground and will show up later, but when factoring in just for older kids, I believe the Pathfinder is an excellent choice for encouraging active, creative play.
We recommend the Pathfinder because older kids tend to use playgrounds in more ways than just as a playground. They play games and engage in creative storytelling. The Pathfinder’s layout and options provide an amazing obstacle course to play tag on or enact some fast-paced play. There is so much to duck under, run through, clamber over, slide down, and climb up!
For a playground that your older kids can clamber all over and play endlessly, explore the Pathfinder.
Pro Series: The Moonwalker Playground
The Moonwalker is a massive playground that your older kids will endlessly enjoy. I couldn’t justify any other set for keeping older kids entertained.
Much of what I said about the Pathfinder rings true for the Moonwalker, but even more so. The slide tunnels, big climbers, fast slides, and spacious playdecks combine to create a playground that draws children like an ice cream truck on a summer day.
The Moonwalker keeps the children in your community endlessly entertained, so your members can chat and hang out without worrying about their children.
Best Church Playgrounds for Lots and Lots and Lots of Kids
Versatility is the key word here. The playground needs to work well for little kids as well as much older kids. It must be easy to monitor, accessible, and still have lots of space and fun.
Flex Series: The Ranger Commercial Playground
The Ranger is all about space. The ample 6’ x 6’ double-deck towers keep everyone safe by ensuring room for all that play. With scalable challenges, the Ranger Playground is fun for everyone.
A unique feature of the Ranger Playground is its easy access. A big part of that is the ADA staircase, which, along with sensory toys, makes the playground ADA compliant. Besides the ADA staircase, two other staircases with poly railings help even the youngest children clamber up to the fun and make the playground easy for adults to see and get into.
The Ranger’s three slides, two rock walls, tire swing, bridge, tunnel, and other features are laid out play-flow-friendly, eliminating congestion points.
For even more fun, add in our free-standing swing beams!
Pro Series: The Rocketeer Commercial Playground
The Rocketeer Commercial Playground is wide open and spacious, inviting children of all ages to come and play. With so many roomy 6’ x 6’ play decks of varying heights, there is a fun challenge for the littlest up to the biggest.
The Rocketeer’s layout is one of the big reasons why it is a bit more versatile than the Moonwalker. Parents can easily walk from one end to the other without a problem. The towers climb gradually higher and higher, making it easy for little children to navigate the playground.
That’s not to say the Rocketeer is only suitable for little kids. The 5’ and 7’ towers feature dual racing slides, while the monkey bars give a good strength test. The Rocketeer, unlike the Moonwalker, is just a bit more friendly to little kids, making it the pick for the most versatile playground.
